NEUROLOGIST AND NEUROPHYSIOLOGIST

Dr Ehsan Shandiz MD FRACP is a senior neurologist at Toowoomba with subspecialty qualifications in neurophysiology and neuromuscular disorders. He finished his neurology specialty in Iran and moved to Australia in 2018. He spent one year as Stroke Fellow in Royal North Shore Hospital Sydney and one year in Canberra Hospital. He started his neurology consultant job in Toowoomba in 2020. Dr Shandiz set up the neurophysiology department in Toowoomba hospital and is also performing various neurophysiology tests in private rooms (Toowoomba Neurology). These include Nerve Conduction Study (NCS), Electromyography (EMG), Repetitive Nerve Stimulation(RNS) and Single Fibre electromyography (SF-EMG). He has started a PhD in neurophysiology at the University of Queensland. Dr Shandiz is currently involved in research using novel High Density Surface EMG technique in motor neuron disease patients.
